We’re excited to share that Milton Elementary School has been selected by @cliforg as a 2026–2027 Year of the Book Grant recipient! This program brings up to $25,000 in new books, author and illustrator visits, engaging literacy programming, and special events to our school community. It’s going to be an amazing year of reading, creativity and connection, and we can’t wait to get started!

😷 Staying home when sick helps protect others. Rest supports healing, and staying home prevents illness from spreading to classmates and staff.
Our Afternoon Preschoolers took a dive into the world of sustainability with a visit from the Casella Resource Rover! As part of our unit on Reducing, Reusing, and Recycling, our preschool students got an up-close look at how we can keep our planet green. 🌎♻️🌎
As part of National Poetry Month, our 2nd grade students got a special visit from the one and only Ted Scheu (rhymes with “shy”)—the Poetry Guy! Ted helped our young writers find their voices, teaching them that poetry is all about laughing, observing the world, and "juggling" words to share big truths.
We are so grateful to the PTA for their continued support in bringing these enriching experiences to our classrooms! 🏫

This week's Teacher Spotlight!
A huge thank you to the Milton High School Interact Club and the Milton/Colchester Rotary for visiting our 1st and 2nd-grade classrooms today. Our students loved hearing new stories and seeing that reading is a lifelong adventure.
It was a wonderful morning of mentorship, community, and, of course, great books!
💧 Hydration and hygiene work together. Drinking enough water and washing hands regularly support energy levels, digestion, and immune health, helping students stay focused and engaged.
