PreK Lottery

The PreK Lottery for the 2025-2026 School Year (this fall) opens on Friday, 3/7, and closes on Sunday 3/23.

The Milton Early Education Program has a limited number of school-based openings for Milton children who are three or four on or before September 1, 2025. The morning session for 3-year-olds operates 8:30-11:30 am on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays and the afternoon session for 4-year-olds operates 12:30-3:30 pm on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays.

The PK Lottery will open on March 7, 2025 and will close at midnight on March 23, 2025. Families will be notified by mid-April whether their child has been randomly selected for a spot in one of our classrooms. Why do we do the lottery?

There are a limited number of spots available each year, students are drawn, at random, from the lottery based on the number of spots.

But I got my student in the lottery early?

All entries received in the lottery between 3/7 & 3/23 will be randomly drawn, regardless of when the entry was received.

Families of students who were randomly drawn for a slot in the fall PreK program will be notified in mid-April.
