Vaccination Clinic for students age 5-11

On 11/2/2021, the CDC gave final approval for and authorized the COVID-19 vaccine in children ages 5-11.  In coordination with the Vermont Department of Health, Vermont Emergency Management, and the Agency of Education, Milton Town School District has scheduled upcoming vaccination clinics in the  Milton Elementary School gymnasium. This clinic will serve students ages 5 and up in our district, as well as students in other nearby public and independent schools and members of our community – including parents!

We especially look forward to providing vaccines for our 5-11-year-old students, who are newly eligible to receive the Pfizer COVID-19 Vaccine.  Please see details about the vaccination clinic below.

Entry and exit will be through the exterior doors of the Milton Elementary School Gym. Arrive through Door #18 and you’ll be exiting through Door #19. Please do not attempt to go through the main entrance of the Elementary School. That door will be locked.

For information about COVID-19 Vaccination in children, the American Academy of Pediatrics is presenting several town halls inviting Vermont families are invited to join them for a conversation about COVID-19 vaccines for children from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. via Zoom on the below dates.

Other Options to Get Vaccinated

If our school clinic is not a convenient time for your family, there are many options statewide to get vaccinated. Your 5-11-year-old can register for a vaccine at any community vaccine clinic providing the Pfizer vaccine that is convenient to you. In addition, many pharmacies are now offering appointments for Pfizer vaccines to Vermonters aged 5 and up. Please note that each pharmacy has its own process and requirements for parental consent.
