Education/Experience
I have a Bachelor's degree in English and Elementary Education from Franklin Pierce University. I have my MEd. in Literacy Curriculum and Instruction from Northern Vermont University. I also have a Reading Specialist Endorsement through the Vermont Agency of Education. I worked at Newbury Elementary School in Central Vermont for four years, teaching in multi-age classrooms (K/1 and 1/2). Simultaneously, I directed the Town of Newbury After School Program. Then I moved to St. Albans City School and worked as a teacher in a K-6 therapeutic alternative classroom for one year. Last year, I worked for the Maple Run School District's Virtual Academy and taught reading virtually to all of our K-2 virtual students.
Interests/Hobbies
I love being outside and active. Some of my favorite things to do are hiking, kayaking, and walking my pup. I also love to lift, read, and cook! I am a huge Harry Potter fan as well.
A little about me.
I am 28 years old and my husband and I live in Williston. We love our fur babies, two cats and one dog. I grew up in Milton and my parents still live there. I am very excited about this new role and cannot wait to become a part of this community!
