Early Education Teachers

Teacher introductions:

Cheryl Phillips:

Hello everyone! My name is Cheryl Phillips and I live in Fairfax with my husband, James, our son Oliver and our cat, Dublin. I graduated from UVM with a degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders in 2008.  Since then, I have continued my education in Communication Sciences and Disorders, and am currently working on my master’s in Early Childhood Special Education. I absolutely love working with all children and am very excited for another great year teaching in the Milton Early Education Program. I will be co-teaching with Jennifer and Emilie in classroom 407.  It is my number one goal for the children to build a tight-knit classroom community filled with kindness, learning, joy, and superfriends!

Hi everyone! This year will be my third year as a Speech-Language Pathologist in the district. I received my Master’s Degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders from the University of Vermont in 2016. This year, I will primarily be providing outreach services to children and families throughout the Milton community. I love having the opportunity to work closely with families and childcare providers to best support our students! I live in Williston with my husband and my rambunctious puppy, Nellie. Outside of school, I love reading, biking, hiking, spending time with family and friends, and exploring beautiful Vermont. I’m looking forward to a great year!

Tara Tanguay:

Hi Everyone! I’m really excited to start my third year in the Milton Early Education Program. Prior to coming to work in the Milton Early Education Program, I worked in Early Intervention for 8 years.  I was lucky enough to serve families in Milton during those years and really love this community and the people in it. I have my Master’s degree and teaching license in Early Childhood Special Education, a Bachelor’s degree in Social Work and an Associate’s degree in Early Childhood Education.  I’m really looking forward to another wonderful year full of adventure and fun with all of our superfriends! When I’m not at school, my husband and I are usually busy trying to keep up with our 5 year old son. He keeps us on our toes and always laughing!
